Especially creams with antioxidants retain their potency best in a cool place.

Don’t be put off by the word “alcohol” in our ingredient list.
Unlike drying alcohols such as Alcohol Denat, our face creams contain caring alcohols such as Cetyl Alcohol, Stearyl Alcohol, and Cetearyl Alcohol.
These fatty alcohols help retain moisture, resulting in cared for and hydrated skin.

At Dore, we set high standards for the ingredients we use in our skin care products.
Our ingredient list is divided into two categories: actives and excipients. Actives are the powerful ingredients at the heart of our formulas.
These ingredients are carefully selected for their specific effect on the skin.

Our skin care products are developed with all skin types in mind, including sensitive skin.
All formulas are dermatologically tested, meaning they have been thoroughly evaluated to minimize potential irritations.
Our products have been tested on a group of people with sensitive skin, exposing them to the product for 48 hours.
A so-called patch test.
With a 0% irritation score, our products have been found suitable for all skin types.
However, each individual is unique, so if you know you are hypersensitive to certain substances, we always recommend consulting the full INCI list first.

Adding perfume in skin care products is a hotly debated topic. At Dore, we understand the concerns about this, which is why we carefully considered whether to add perfume to our formulas. In the end, we decided to add a minimal amount of perfume, because we believe fragrance is an important part of the user experience. We searched extensively to find a perfume that fits our products and that we know exactly what is in it and how it is manufactured. This also explains why you see other fragrance substances on the INCI list, such as Citronellol and Benzyl Salicylate. These substances are listed if they exceed the 0.001% limit…. Our patch tests show that our products do not cause irritation, but we understand that this can be personal, so always consult the full INCI list if in doubt.

Absolutely!
At Dore, all of our products are 100% vegan and carry the Vegan Society Seal of Approval.
This means that our formulas are free of animal ingredients and have not been tested on animals.
Every year we renew our contract to ensure that our products meet the strict standards for vegan products.
We are also affiliated with Vegan Friendly, an initiative of the Dutch Association for Veganism.

The color difference in our products is caused by the natural green rooibose extract, which is present in a high concentration.
As a result, the color of the product may vary slightly from batch to batch.
When the product is exposed to heat, such as prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or storage in a warm environment, the color may darken.
Although this natural phenomenon is inevitable, we recommend keeping your skin care products out of direct sunlight and in a cool place.
So, if you accidentally leave your Face Wash in the shower, know that this may affect the color, but fortunately not the effectiveness of the product.

A facial toner is an important part of your skincare routine that you use after cleansing your face.
It removes the last bits of dirt and makeup that remain after cleansing.
Unlike cleansing products, a good facial toner contains few cleansing ingredients, but rather caring ingredients.
The main purpose of a facial toner is to hydrate your skin and promote a healthy look.
It is an essential step not to be missed in your daily skin care routine.

Our Rooibos Face Toner is the second step in your skincare routine, right after cleansing your face.
You can apply the toner to a (reusable) cotton pad or pour a small amount into your palm and gently dab it into your skin.
By dabbing with your fingers, you avoid using too much product; in fact, on a cotton pad, you quickly use more than you need.
The choice between these two methods is yours and depends on what you find most comfortable.
Extra user tip: In the summer I always fill a small spray bottle with our Face Toner, which I can easily take with me in my bag.
On hot days, a refreshing mist of the toner gives an instant feeling of coolness.
Thus, your skin not only feels fresh but also hydrated.
A convenient and invigorating solution on the go!

Cleansing your skin is the very first and most important step in your skincare routine.
During the day, your skin collects all kinds of dirt from outside, as well as from inside due to perspiration and hormonal activity, for example.
At night, waste products and sebum are released and remain on your skin.
So it is essential to thoroughly cleanse your skin both in the morning and at night.
Another important reason to cleanse your skin is to promote optimal absorption of the active ingredients of your face cream.
Clean skin allows for better absorption of the active ingredients.
So, although a splash of water over your face can be refreshing, water alone does not cleanse your skin sufficiently.
This is because it does not penetrate into the pores, which is precisely where the accumulation of dirt and waste occurs.
Therefore, we always recommend using a mild facial cleanser that cleanses your skin well without drying it out.

Apply the face mask when you have the time.
The application itself is simple, but you need some time to let the mask do its job.
So choose an appropriate time and relax!
Before applying the face mask, make sure your skin is cleansed and your hands are clean.
To make it complete, exfoliate your skin before applying the mask.
This will remove dead skin cells and the active ingredients of the mask will be absorbed even better.
Squeeze some contents of the Rooibos Calming Face Mask from the tube onto your fingers and then apply it to your face (obviously not in your eyes!) and neck.
Leave it on for 5-10 minutern and then rinse off with plenty of water.
Afterwards, apply your face cream or serum.

Our face mask is designed to pamper your skin and give it an extra boost.
It contributes to the recovery of your skin and leaves it feeling wonderfully soft after use.
A treatment with our face mask is not only good for your skin, but also gives you the opportunity to relax for 5-10 minutes.

Exfoliating your skin is recommended for a healthy complexion because it stimulates circulation and removes dead skin cells.
This allows the active ingredients of your face mask or face cream to be better absorbed.
However, don’t exfoliate your skin more often than once a week, especially if you have dry skin.
The best way to exfoliate is in the shower, when your skin is moist.
If you prefer to exfoliate at another time, make sure your skin is moist before applying the scrub.
Squeeze a small amount of the Rooibos Face Scrub from the tube onto your fingers and gently massage it over your face and neck in circular motions.
Do not apply too much pressure and avoid the sensitive skin around your eyes.
Then rinse the scrub off with water.

No, you won’t find microplastics in our scrub.
Instead, we use a natural scrub hero called Perlite, which is gentle on the skin as well as the environment.
It provides the familiar feeling of exfoliation without causing damage.
In addition, our scrubs contain cranberry spheres, which gently remove dead skin cells, giving new skin cells room to grow.
And because our Face Scrub contains no soapy substances, you easily rinse the scrub away.
