Step inside our story that begins amidst the rooibos fields in South Africa. There we discovered the power of the rooibos plant, which has been treasured by locals for centuries.

We are Dore

A unique creation

Inspired by this discovery, we began to bring local skin care products to the Netherlands.
But soon we realized that we wanted to bring in our own insights and ideas, to create something unique.
That was the beginning of our own skincare brand: Dore Rooibos Cosmetics, with rooibos as our main ingredient.

At Dore Rooibos Cosmetics, it’s all about you and your skin, at every age and stage of life.
We cherish the desire to take good care of yourself and your skin, and that translates to our approach to skincare.
We don’t believe in panaceas or quick fixes, but in thoughtful skincare products that are easy to apply and combine.
Our skincare products are developed with the idea of preventive skincare, which is all about being proactive in protecting your skin from environmental damage and maintaining its health and youthful appearance.
In other words, taking action before a specific problem occurs.

Sustainability and quality

Sustainability and providing quality products according to European standards are not selling points for us, but a matter of course.
Our products are 100% vegan and free of animal ingredients and testing.
And like everyone else, we take responsibility for minimizing our ecological footprint.
We are constantly taking small steps to achieve this, such as:

No more plastic packaging, we use recyclable tubes and bottles made from sugar cane, and work on sustainable caps.
We develop new formulas with reused ingredients and do not use harmful substances such as microplastics.
By choosing uniform packaging types, we reduce waste, energy consumption and costs.

Our timeline

2000

Our first introduction to South Africa.
The start of our love for the beautiful country and its impressive nature.
It is also where we discovered how special the rooibos plant is.

2016

Importing existing rooibos skin care products from South Africa.
Eventually it turned out that we ourselves were full of insights and ideas that we wanted to put into our own products.
This was the beginning of a new adventure!

2018

After much research and collaborations (and perseverance!), the first products are developed: from the formulas, to the names and packaging.

2020

Launch of the first three Dore Rooibos Cosmetics products.
This is just the beginning, as more products will be launched!

2024

Dore Rooibos Cosmetics is launching a completely new product line consisting of our 7 Essentials and some great pachage deals!

Dore from the heart

Because of our love for nature and animals, it goes without saying that our products are 100% vegan.
This means that our formulas are free of animal raw materials.
In addition, our products are 100% animal testing free.
Fortunately, cosmetics testing on animals has not been legally allowed within the European Union since 2009.
Yet we see that there is still much to be gained in terms of the treatment of animals.
This is therefore something we want to “give back” first, as soon as we can with the earnings of our company.
